CenturyLink Roof
In this high-visibility project, Gates Painting worked on the rooftop of CenturyLink Field to prep and paint for the installation of the new connected LED lighting system which showcases the stadium roof and façade. New anchor points were painted to match the existing colors on each side of the anchor. This job required a high level of preparation by our crews to ensure that we met all safety requirements, each employee was fitted in complete fall protection gear and performed daily safety meetings. This new lighting feature was unveiled at the first Seahawks Thursday Night Football game of the season on October 3rd, 2019.
Pro Shop
The Pro Shop is the primary retail space at CenturyLink Field- home of the Seattle Seahawks and Seattle Sounders. As such, it is in the heart of downtown and the SoDo district; a high visibility location with thousands of pedestrians passing by continually. This project involved the beautification of the exterior façade which needed repairs and an overall refreshing. Here our team provided consultation services to the property owner to determine viability of the proposed scope of work. We obtained street use permits from the City of Seattle in order to close the public sidewalk right away – these permits required Gates Painting to submit detailed traffic plans and a submittal of the proposed scope of work. This location is designated as a Downtown Hub by the City of Seattle, this designation dictated an elevated level of planning and compliance by Gates Painting in order to minimize pedestrian and commerce disruption. Gates Painting utilized an aerial lift for personnel to access the area of work, our team performed graffiti removal, high temperature pressure washing and installation of a single component coating system to the substrate.
Club & Suite Levels
Gates Painting performed the complete repainting of all the walls and ceilings throughout the interior club levels of CenturyLink Field for their sponsors updated color palettes. This project required a tight deadline to facilitate scheduled events within the stadium. We organized 20 painters during two different working shifts with the continuous use of 6 aerial lifts to attain 24-hour work schedule to complete the scope prior to the target deadline.
Concourse Level
Inside the main Concourse Level of CenturyLink field, Gates Painting performed extensive substrate repairs and repainting in a multitude of other areas of the stadium including: Administrative offices, Seahawks locker room, Seahawks press room, Television broadcasting suite, Performing artist lounges, Verizon Lounge, Bud light Suite, Nike Suite, Delta Lounge, and the Red Zone.
WAMU theater
Additionally, our team performed interior repairs and painting inside of WAMU Theater. Gates Painting provided consultation services in order to determine the timelines needed and processes involved in proposed scope of work in coordination with the Event Center. Gates Painting repainted approximately 90% of the interior walls and ceilings and applied large scale painted graphics throughout the event center.
